After decades of underfunding CTE courses, Spokane lacks a strong construction workforce, which contributes to the high cost of homes. High housing costs affects other industries, too, because it's difficult to recruit and retain a workforce. We need investments in construction training and solutions that make housing affordable to our regional workforce.
